Because I often see both points of view in a conflict, 'Devil's Advocate' is a good title for this section. 'Devil's Advocate' is for my own rantings and ravings. Probably the least important section on this web site, it nevertheless provides me with a space on the wall to hang my various scribblings, and who knows, someone might find something of interest here.

for power and profitIf you read just one thing, check out the 'Aberfan Tragedy,' it's one of the first things I wrote and it's still relevant today. Aberfan was a turning point for me, it was when I realised that everything the church teaches about "god" is nonsense. Since then we've had the Asian tsunami, a dreadful lesson to the world that "god" is powerless to help or can't be bothered to help, or more likely doesn't exist.
Then there are the Four Interviews, designed to inflict maximum harm on godists and their preposterous beliefs. One day I'd like to see the Four Interviews performed on stage, tho' the cost of security would be considerable. These may be among the most blasphemous essays ever written apart from the revolting descriptions of "god" in the Bible. But as Oscar Wilde famously said, "When I think of all the harm the Bible has done, I despair of ever writing anything to equal it."
